The dress- found it

Found the dress, finally. Exact match, color and style.

http://www.bluegala.com/strapless-lace-sheath-dress.html

http://www.promgirl.com/shop/dresses/viewitem-PD542816

I'm very excited, because the dress is relatively inexpensive- only 160.00. After I make my car payment this month, I may save up to get it. I don't have a LDB yet, and would love to have this in my closet.

Katherine Pierce Masquerade Dress

So after hunting for AGES for the dress that Katherine was wearing in the masquerade episode and coming up with nada- someone else from coolspotters finally found it. Here it is:

Adrianna Papell Strapless dress for only 158.00.

Unfortunately, I can only seem to find it in that champaign color. BUT. I came across another site that has some pretty close alternatives.

Here's one- This is really close, but the lace is a different pattern, and the neckline is different. But still, this dress is incredibly cute and sexy, and only costs 68.60.

I'm still gonna keep my eyes out for a black version of the one I want.

Found the jacket..... again

So awhile ago I posted a jacket that was like... $600.00 and completely out of reach because of that price tag. I had found an exact dupe that was a mere 99.00. But I neglected to remember the link, or what exactly I had googled to find it. I thought I had lost it.

Well. I was browsing around again- and I found it. 99.00. Unfortunately, it is also sold out.

Apartment Furnishings

Furnishing an apartment is freekin expensive! Especially if you have to do it all at once. Shopping around, I have found a few items that I like for their astetics(is that the right word) and their prices are.... I guess, what is to be expected. Overall, I want a dark wood scheme. Elegant- with nice, clean lines.

First and foremost, what people will see when they come in and will possibly spend at least 50% of their time in my place around- the dining table. Having a massive family, I'll need something that can seat a few if, god forbid, they ALL decide to drop by. I found this set for 595.00. It comes with a decent sized table, five chairs, and a bench. It fits with the color scheme I want. The chairs and bench are padded with leather(real, fake? I dunno) which I think might not be hte most comfortable, but it does look good.

Next, is a sofa. I want something that can yank out and function as a bed, as well. Again, forseeing the family visiting. I also want it to be comfortable. I don't want one of those little slats and a matress futon's. I want a full on sofa- something for three or more people to plunk down on/in front of and be comfortable on, something that you can sit down and settle into and be like "ooooohhhhhhh, Yeah!" Unfortunately.... Sleeper sofa's appear to be incredibly expensive. So this will possibly be one of the last items that I pick up to furnish my place. Ya'll can sleep on the floor.

Moving on: my room. Lemme let you in on something. I have been sleeping on other people's uncomfortable beds the whole time I've been in the army. It sucks. I get issued a room, it comes with a bed, that's what I've got. I definately will not be getting, for my place, a bed that has been used. And I definately will be getting one that is comfortable. Like sinking into a massive cloud of down feathers. But that's just the mattress, I suppose. The frame can be whatever. I found this one that is intriging. Simple, clean, has a little bit of interest with those squares at the top.  Selling for a mere 195.00. Close to the same colors at the dining room set. But that doesn't matter, since it will be in the bedroom.

Beyond those basics, the rest I can let myself go to Ikea and get. or wal-mart. Whatever. Nightstands, End tables, Dressers(well, I might want the dressers to be good quality) desks, etc. So long as the base pieces are good quality, I can take my time finding decent "accessories."

Possible dress dupe

I was browsing when I found this. A possible dupe for the dress Katherine wears in the masquerade. It would need to be touched by the hand of a skilled seamstress, to make the neckline accurate, but other than that it's pretty damned good. Has the texture and length correct. Just needs a ribbon sash and it would be a near 100% match. Price is 389.00. While close(very close) it is expensive for a garment that will need to be modified. I'll continue looking.

Steve Madden Carlsen

These are a dupe of the shoe Katherine is wearing in the episode The Return. Very cute, and I recommend pairing them with a skinny jean or leggings, as is done in the episode.

These are a relatively low 71.96 and can be found on zappos.com

KG by Kurt Geiger Emiline Pumps

I don't often wear shoes like this, but I really like these, and,  if the appropiate setting presenting itself, could definitely see myself in them.

It's a great little pump, with soft material, sexy curves and a metal embelishment on the heel. It's for sale for 79(euro) on Kurt Geiger's website. Unfortunately, at the time of this post, they are sold out.

The next shoe isn't an exact dupe, but it appears exceptionally close. The heel is different, and so is the price.

This shoe is available from shoes.com for 89.00. You'll notice that it has the same thick sole as the original. It is lacking the metal embellishment on the heel, but that's ok to me.

An acceptable alternative to the shoe at left is this one. for 85.00. The heel is more matte.

Edit to add:

This link was brought to my attention. It's essentially the same shoe, but for sale stateside, and actually available on their website.

Shopping

So I got a check back from the company that I was leasing my truck from and I went shopping for some clothes. I hit up American eagle and grabbed a few things.

First, I got the artist jeans that I linked in a previous article that are the exact ones worn in vampire diaries. That link is to a light colored pair- I got one that had a super dark wash on it. They fit awesome and look great.

Then I grabbed a couple camisole tanks that were on sale, one in a purple wine color and the other in a dark blue.

Lastly, I grabbed a really cute sweater that looked like an awesome dupe to one I had seen worn in the vampire diaries. (I went and rechecked the scene and it's not an exact dupe, but I still think its great, so I'm going to be keeping it) The sweater is in the same purple wine color and is just awesome.

I wish they had more colors in the camisole's and had some long sleeve v-neck shirts, but I'm satisfied with what I got. I think I'll be hitting up forever21's site for some basics later.

Boscia Luminizing Black Mask

I had gotten a sample of this and I just tried it last night. OMG! I love it. I accidentally got a bit in my hairline and eyebrows and that was a pain to remove, but other than that I love it. It's a mask that you need to spread out rather quickly becaue it does dry pretty fast. Once it dries, it stays very close to the skin, you'll need to be patient when beginning to peel becasue the edges don't curl on their own like some other masks I've used. Once you get it started you should be fine, but bear in mind it does stick to the skin rather well, so don't get any on the tender area around your eyes.
Some people complain that you have to put on a superthick layer, but i put on a relatively thin layer and it still worked great for me.
Once I had pulled it all off and then rinsed off the bit in my hairline my skin was just soooo smooth and soft. There was absolutely NO tightness like some masks will leave you with.

Updated the theme

I updated the theme because the old one was making issues with the formatting of posts.

More things to buy

So first of all- I checked the page of the lady who made my Elena necklace to see if she's offering a Caroline ring. No she's not, but when I e-mailed her she said that she was totally willing to do a custom order. It's a bit expensive, but if the ring is made to the same standards as the necklace, then it would be totally worth it. I'm still thinking about it.

Moving on. I'm adding some more things to my my list of clothes to buy. These ones are gonna be mostly duplicates of the originals that will be much cheaper.

First up- A ribbed lace tank. I found a perfectly acceptable dupe on sale at Macy's. The color selection leaves something to be desired, though. http://www.macys.com/catalog/product/index.ognc?ID=486055&cm_mmc=Google_Feed-_-4-_-37-_-%7Bkeyword%7D&kw=%7Bkeyword%7D

There is another one, essentially the same item, at blue canoe. The color selection is much better, but the shirt is more expensive- 17.00. http://www.sierratradingpost.com/p/2571R_Blue-Canoe-Ribbed-Lace-Tank-Top-Organic-Cotton-For-Women.html?utm_source=GoogleBase&utm_medium=PaidShopping&utm_term=Blue_Canoe_Ribbed_Lace_Tank_Top_-_Organic_Cotton_For_Women&utm_campaign=PCGOOGLEBASE2KX&codesProcessed=true

I found a semi-acceptable alternative for Elena's denim jacket. However, it doesn't appear to fit as well as the original, but it is only 70.00. http://www.eddiebauer.com/catalog/product.jsp?ensembleId=37167&prodsearch=6&cm_cg=T95&cm_ven=Mercent&cm_pla=WOMENS%20outerwear&cm_ite=953820%20-%20Eddie%20Bauer%20Classic%20Jean%20Jacket%20(Regular%20S%20Vintage%20Rinse)&cm_cat=Google%20Product&mr:trackingCode=82D6FA5B-3C9C-DF11-92F8-0019B9C04BE4&mr:referralID=NA

Another possible alternative to that denim jacket is this one from Levi. It appears to fit better and is less, but it is a cropped version. (A re-examination of photo's shows that Elena's jacket also appears to be cropped, making this the better alternative) At only 42.00: http://www.zappos.com/levis-cropped-trucker-jean-jacket-phoenix

This one isn't a dupe, it's the actual item she wears in the show. Lemme tell you, it sure is nice to find something that the average person can afford. At 40.00, the american eagle jeans she's wearing in a episode at the beginning of S2: http://www.ae.com/web/browse/product.jsp?catId=cat90120&productId=1435_7604&cid=AEO_CSE_k22350&mr:trackingCode=FA9D93B5-F181-DE11-B7F3-0019B9C043EB&mr:referralID=NA

There is also a slightly worn version that is supercute. They're not what she's wearing, but I personally love them and would consider them over what she's wearing, even thought they're ten dollars more. http://www.ae.com/web/browse/product.jsp?catId=cat90120&productId=1435_7952

I saved the most expensive for last. Unfortunately, any leather jacket is going to be expensive, but I do not feel like dropping 600 for a piece of clothing. And I won't. I did find an alternative for Elena's leather jacket- This is a pretty nice similar jacket. You can pay 240 for a black version, or 143 for a faded black version. The sleeves are longer, but that's acceptable.  http://piperlime.gap.com/browse/product.do?cid=47892&vid=1&pid=765135&scid=765135022

Aaannndd... that's gonna be all for now. I'm still looking for an acceptable dupe of the purse from my last post, but I'm afraid that I might have to shell out the full price for it if I really want it.

Shopping list

So I want to try adn find duplicates for stuff from Elena Gilbert's wardrobe. I like the style that they've given her. Girly, but not slutty or obnoxiously feminine. A little touch of tough. Anywho- Here's some links to some of her stuff. Only problem- the price tags. So I'm on the lookout for cheaper versions, and have asked a guys who's good at shopping to try and find me inexpensive duplicates.

Kat Von D palette

So based on a recomendation i purchased my first kat von d palette. I got the one with all the purples in it. First of all, the packaging is just beautiful. I almost saved it. It comes in this awesome little envelope box and also has this great tissue paper wrapped around it.
This weekend i created a look solely with that palette and loved it. The colors are vibrant and long lasting(note-i was using a primer)
I would recomend this palette to anyone, but not as a very first palette.
As a side note, there is a cream shadow in it that has received a lot of negative reviews because of drying out. I haven't used the color yet, but i am concerned.

Sometimes it's so good, you gotta have more than one...

And that is totally the case with my rosebud strawberry lip balm. I ordered a second one, which I'll keep in my desk at work. I'm tellin ya, that stuff is amazing!

Review: Rosebud Strawberry Lip Balm

So I've been using it since I got it, and I really like it. It is....amazing! It smells crazy good- like fresh strawberries. When applied to the lips, it "quenches" their thirst like a glass of ice water on a hot day. It just sinks in, instead of most balms which simply lie on top of the lips until licked or rubbed off. Aside from sinking into the lips, it keeps them feeling hydrated and moisturized for quite awhile, with no stickiness or residue.

The ingredients are incredibly simple- the entire list fits on the back of the tin(petrolatum, vilvanolin, natural white beeswax, a "trade secret" blend of strawberry flavor, natural and artificial dyes) While there is no abnormal color, I prefer that. It's incredibly natural and easy to wear for work. It does good for wearing at work, and at night before you go to bed.

I totally recommended this for everyone. Beyond all the great great things I listed above- the price is AMAZING. You can purchase a 0.8 oz tin for only $7.00 USD.

My new lippies- Initial impressions

Ok, so I just got my package of lip goodies, and am gonna make a post on my initial impressions, because I don't really have time to use and write individual reviews on each item right now.

Here's what I ordered(in not particular order)

My initial impressions are going to be of the packaging and smells.  The LipFusion has very nice packaging, a metal tube that I won't have to worry about opening on its own- it has a cap that needs to screw off. The Dior has *very* nice packaging- it's very pretty and feminine. The Buxom packaging feels very cheap in my hands, being made almost entirely out of plastic. But! It does have a saving feature- a small mirror in the cap.  Rosebud has a simple metal tin.

As far as smells, the Rosebud came out on top- it smells amazing! Buxom comes next; it's got a very unique vanilla-coco smell that I really like. The Dior balm came in absolutely last- it's got a very "old lady flower perfume" smell to it which I just don't like. I'll try it out, but unless it does something amazing for my lips, I'll be swapping it out. The LipFusion doesn't really seem to have a smell.

Some new lippies

I ordered a new fragrance, one I've wanted for FOREVER and along with it, I ordered three or four new lippies. I'm so excited to try them all out. I'll be posting reviews on them after I've tried them all out.

Lippie and car magnet

Well I got both of my packages today and I am very excited to report back. I'll start with the lippie.

It arrived in a cute little box and when I took it out it looked almost exactly like an oversized orange crayon with a cap. *gasp* Orange- what?! Yeah, I ordered joy with looked like a light peach on the site, but when I opened it I was looking at this crazy orange crayon.

DSCN0747.JPG

Well I decided to give it a chance and it's actually ok. On the skin, it's not nearly as scary orange as it looks:

DSCN0748.JPG

On my lips it ads some color and really makes them pop while at the same time avoiding the clown look. Now, as for the stain and "6000% moisture" claims... I can't say much about that yet. It did feel a lot more moisturizing when I applied it, but it was a little remniscent of a lipstick. The moisture stayed and was fairly good for awhile, but I applied it about 45 minutes ago, and while my lips aren't dry-dry, they do feel a little dusty, so a gloss is going to be necessary when using this. All in all, I like it and will order more- maybe their light pink next.

Ok! Now the magnet! I am super, super excited about this! I got it today and am really impressed. It came in a pretty large box and when I opened it up, the magnet was carefully wrapped in saranwrap and then taped to the inside of the box to keep it from bouncing around and possibly damaging the corners. Once I (finally) got it free of it's wrappings, I was shocked. For the price I paid, I was kind of expecting a piece of paper that had been printed on, cut out, and then glued to a magnet. That is sooooo NOT what I got, and I'm really grateful. Instead, I got a wonderfully durable feeling and heavy duty magnet that appears to have had the images printed directly onto it's surface. While I am mildly dissapointed with the pixelation of the picture on it, I'm not surprised. I gave them a small picture- blowing it up that big it was bound to pixel some. Anywho- the magnet is pretty sturdy and attaches well to my truck(and fridge-lol) I'm not concerned about loosing it on the freeway or in the city.

DSCN0752.JPG

Yeah.... I am really impressed with this magnet, and excited about using it come blizzcon. And I totally refer anyone who is interested in their very own magnet to go check out the folks at http://www.buildasign.com/ They have a pretty awesome customization process that is incredibly user friendly, and shipping options for everyone.

More sunscreen... and a lippie

So I had to order some more of my sunscreen cause the current bottle seems to be getting a little bit low. Seeing as it's not exactly something I can go to my local store for I ordered it through sephora, and while I was there, I decided to grab a Tarte lip stain as well. I don't normally go for stains because they're really drying on my lips, and considering that I live in the desert it would be even worse, but this one claims to be uber moisturizing. I also read a few reviews that back up it's claims of being moisturizing. So I grabbed one of those in the color "Joy".

Those two items should be here sometime next week and I'm super excited to try out the new lippie. I think I'll be pairing it with a gloss, just to cover the hydration issue. There are a couple at MAC that I want to try it with, but I guess MAC changed their system or something, because they no longer deliver out to where I am, so I have to go to the store. BUT! Luckily I'm going to be down in the area of the closest MAC store next weekend, so I'm gonna stop in and grab the glosses I wanna try out. They might even have the firecracker eyeshadow, but I'm not gonna get my hopes up about that.

Anywho- I'll post a review on the lip stain as soon as I get it and try it a couple times.

Aromaleigh

Wow. I saw a review on one of their products and tottered on over to the website. Best thing about it? You can order JUST SAMPLES. That's right- you can go through EVERYTHING in their inventory, and order just a sample of whatever you want. I ordered some eyeshadow samples, and am pretty impressed.

They individually package your samples, put all of them in a nice little baggie, then wrap it in some cute tissue paper and sent it to you. Even better was the personalized touch on the order form with my samples- handwritten "Thank you katherine!". Not that much seemingly, but it shows me that they take their time with their products and treat each person as an individual, instead of just turning all their customers into "the Borg"

Shipping was incredibly fast as well, even without any special shipping picked. I got my samples in three business days.

But wait! there's more! The samples are pretty decent sized. When you consider the miniscule amount of eyeshadow it takes to do a lid, and compare it to the one dollar sample, you're getting quite a bit of product. My estimation, if I used only one sample to do both my lids, I could do my eyes for two weeks to a month based on the sample size.

I did do my eyes today with the samples I got, and am pretty impressed with the eyeshadow quality. Beyond quality, they have an incredibly impressive amount of variety. Like, really. It blew my mind. Go to the eyeshadow page, and choose the "pick your free samples" link. The page it takes you two is a list (with pictures!) of all of their eyeshadows. It's not a short list. Speaking of free samples- with every order, you can choose three free eyeshadow samples.

Jeans!

So I got new boots a couple weeks ago and had no jeans to wear with them-it was driving me nuts. After looking online a bit, I decided to go by the old navy place at the local outlet mall and see what I could find. Lucky me, not only did they have what I needed, but they had different washes, *and* a sale! I got three pairs of jeans for less than I had expected to pay for two pairs! I washed them already to make sure therte was no shrinkage and there wasn't! They all fit perfect! So excited!

Got a netbook

I didn't want to, especially since I already had reached my "frivolous spending" limit this month, but with my computer crashing, and needing to get shit done online(and my phone failing miserably for that) I needed to get something. So I went and hit up the PX netbooks section, looked up reviews, and got the best one they had for cheap. There was a couple better, but they were like, 500 bucks.

http://reviews.cnet.com/laptops/hp-mini-210-hd/4505-3121_7-33939694.html

That's the review for the one I got, and so far it's doing great. A little slow for a couple things (I apparently need to look up and download a couple things) but it's keeping up with everything else just fine. And I like that's it's so tiny and lightweight- I'll be able to take it with me pretty much anywhere.

Forever21 Hobo Purse review

So I got this purse along with some clothes the other day and just love it. It's going to be the Angela Pleather Hobo, currently selling for $24.80. http://www.forever21.com/product.asp?catalog%5Fname=FOREVER21&category%5Fname=acc%5Fhandbags&product%5Fid=1065588254&Page=all&pgcount=25

When you hear pleather, you immediately think cheap, tacky, stiff. This doesn't fall into those categories. The outside is a soft, then, flexible pleather with fully functional zippers on the top, and on both sides. The side pockets are excellent for holding keys and cellphone- items that you'll need to get without having to dig around. The inside is lined with a olive/forest green color and has a small pocket(for makeup) and another small zippered pocket. The strap is adjustable.

Overall, I love this purse. It's an excellent casual purse, and totally worth the 25 buck you'll spend to buy it.

My face regimen

Open to constructive criticism.

Morning:
Biore blemish fighting ice cleanser
Avalon Organics Vitamin C Balancing Facial Toner
Biore skin preservation dual fusion moisturizer+spf30

Evening:
Biore blemish fighting ice cleanser
Avalon Organics Vitamin C Balancing Facial Toner
Sephora FACE agre prevention moisturizer

I also have a few items that I use every one to two weeks:
Facial peel-off mask in cucumber
Clean&clear morning burst facial scrub
Biore deep cleansing pore strips

So since I started using the toner and moisturizers, my face has been doing good. With the biotin I'm taking, I have been breaking out a bit. But, I've been starting to be *really* careful and consistent with my facecare and that has been helping so much. I never really took great great care of my skin, but with the biotin I've started and I'm totally noticing a difference.  Granted- my skin wasn't *that* bad off, but now it's getting better.

ordered more brushes

I ordered some more brushes. One of them is susposed to be really good for powder foundation. The others are for eyeshadows, and I can never have enough of those. Hmmmm.... I also need to invest in some brushcleaner. Or maybe just a gentle facewash to dedicate to the brushes. I think I'll go with the facewash, because it's cheaper and will work just as well.

I'm also going to be getting another caontainer for my makeup. The display box was just WAY smaller than what I envisioned, and it doesn't hold my makeup very well. I had to stash some somewhere else in order to display my commonly used stuff... Now I can't find the stuff I stashed. That's actually bugging me today, because I wanted to use one of those stashed things today. I just cannot remember where I stashed everything.

Liberty of London

So I got my couple of items from MAC, the liberty of london collection. First item- a really pretty blue grey nail polish. The second item was a highlight- a really pale, good for my skin color, shimmer, without being too shimmery. The third item is a gel eyeliner. I got a brown because black was just too bold. Hopefully it turns out good on testing.

New product, and sunless tanner review

So I tried out the snless tanner. Uhm.... not bad, I guess. The first few things you're gonna notice when you open it is this: it smells, it's REALLY thin and runny, and it's shimmery.

Now, the smell isn't entirely unpleasant. I personally love coconut smell. Anywho. it starts out smelling really yummy and coconutty and whatnot. But I put it on, let it dry, and then went to sleep. When I woke up it did NOT smell coconutty, not at all. It smelled.... kindof like my skin smelt after putting on that tanning stuff and then getting on the tanning bad for 15 minutes. A little like.... well, burnt skin. The thin runny consistency isn't too bad. However, it does sink in a dry like, crazy fast. Way faster than normal drugstore tanning lotions(I'm thinking jergens) It doesn't leave any "lotion" texture, any slickness, any stickiness. None of that nonsense. It sinks in and then the only texture there is, is your natural skin. I love that. Because it sinks in so fast, only work on my section of the body at a time. be sure to spread it out and rub it in quickly. On to... the shimmer. I've never had a shimmer in my sunless tanner before, so seeing it on the palms of my hands was... quite a shock. Rest assured, the shimmer on your body is not as scary as the shimmer on the palms of your hands. On the palms of your hands it's scary and shimmery and really really shimmery. Once you spread it out on your body, the shimmer is noticable only as that "glow" that you see on the tanned legs of Victoria's Secret models. After putting in on everywhere and checking myself out(I did. many times. from different angles) I gotta say that I LOVE the shimmer. It's just... perfect. Longevity of the tan.... uhm. Well. it's a gradual tanner. I only used it for the one day, but I believe I did see a bit of coloration after I had rinsed the product off(about 12 hours later) it didn't really last long, but one application isn't meant to. Will definately be using again. Unknown if I'll purchase again. I'll have to see how the rest of the bottle turns out.

----------------------

Ok. As for what I got. I got a blush. I'm not really big on blushes cause to me, some of them are scary. But, I've seen a lot of reviews and heard that this one turns up very nice and natural, especially on fair skinned people, like me. So i got a box of benefit Sugarbomb, and am going to try it out. The box is cute, it comes with a little brush, and has a totally minimal amount of shimmer. It does have a scent, but it smells like.... roses. Not unpleasant.

sephora package

Ok, so my package from sephora finally arrived. They ship by usps and I guess they take longer than normal. Anyways. It arrived!

Inside was the sunscreen, some sunless tanner that had pretty good reveiws, and three samples.
Just as a note- sephora Always sends samples with Every order! They've got a page of like, 15 random samples, and you get to choose 3 of them when you place your order. No extra charge or anything.

I have tested out the sunscreen, and here's my initian review: It comes in a really cute bottle with a snap top. The bottle seems a bit small at first, but once I opened it and saw the texture I realized that this should last me a really long time. The texture is very thin, esp for a spf of 60. The thin texture is pretty nice for spreading. It does feel a little "powdery" as it dries, but not in an unpleasant way. The powder feel does Not turn into a powder look, it just feels a little powdery to my hands. There is absolutely No sheen to this sunscreen, its not shiney or greasy or wet when it dries. It does smell. Not like sunscreen either. Its a lot more of a perfume smell.
Now, I know that shiseido claims that you need to get their special face wash to remove this(it is VERY water resistant) but I didn't order it because I figured it was a gimmick. And I was right. It came off of a test patch on my arm with just my regular face wash.

Next item is the sunless tanner. That I have not tested yet because I had read reviews stating that it had a really string smell and I am at work. I'll be trying it this weekend and I'll put an update here.

MAC package

My mac package arrived today-yay! I tried everything as soon as I opened it and here are my initial opinions:

The lip conditioner is amazing. It makes my lips soft and smells fantastic. The color, which I was a little concerned about, is very sheer and turns out very nice. A light pink nude shade that is a very little bit glossy and enhances my natural color and adds a little bit of shine. Its not thick or heavy and doesn't "run" down onto my skin like some do. My lips are normally very chapped and just using it for the few hours that I have I can tell the difference. A lot of the reviews I read didn't like that it was in a pot- I personally love pots. I like knowing exactly how much I'm putting on, and with my finger I can also feel exactly where its going on.

Next is the suntints liquid lip balm. I tried that right after applying the conditioner and I love that also. Its a very "rich" feeling gloss, not really thick, but definitely more substance to it than the conditioner. I loved how it felt and looked on top of the conditioner. Again- an absolutely amazing smell.

Third is the fix+. I'm not so keep about the smell. Its not a bad smell, but, I dunno. Its not entirely pleasant like a bunch of the reviews raved about. The spray is weird and will take some getting used to, to ensure even application. It does feel nice, like the mist from a sprinkler on a summer day. I'll have to use it longer to be able to provide a review on benefits and this "dewy" look that everyone raves about.

Last is the mascara(zoom lash) I dunno. I wasn't too impressed on my initial use. It seemed a bit difficult to apply and refused to go on even. Whatever. Ill give it a week or so to decide.

Packages enroute

I ordered a few things and they're enroute. The first package is from MAC. I ordered them like, a week and a half to two weeks ago, but because of the storms out there, it's taking them quite a bit to ship me my stuff. The second package is one from sephora.

-MAC-

-Zoom lash in lofty brown

-Tinted lip conditioner spf 15 pot in petting pink

-Suntints spf 20 lip balm in pink tinge

-Fix+

-Sephora-

-Shiseido Ultimate Sun Protection Lotion SPF 60

-Too Faced Tanning Bed In A Tube

-Samples-

-Zoom Lash in Black

-Peter Thomas Roth Oil-Free Moisturizer

-Lacoste Essential Eau de Toilette

-Zirh Clean

-----------------------------------

Those should both be arriving sometime next week. Now, most of the items I have heard and read Great reviews on, specifically the sunscreen, fix+, sunless tanner, and the lip conditioner. A couple of the items I got pretty much to try out, and hope that they work good. I do know that mac always seems to get fantastical reviews, so I always expect really high quality stuff from them. And sephora sends out TONs of free samples and free shipping with their stuff. I'm really excited to get all that stuff and try it out. yay!

shideido

I really want to try their sunscreen. I hear sooo many good reviews about it. And they have a powder, too. To use with or seperate from the sunscreen, I'm not sure. However, I would like to get a sample size to try first, before buying one of their big bottles.

shopping this weekend

This weekend I'm planning to go to the mac store down in rancho cucamonga and get some things. Gonna look at a couple lip products, and then pick up some Fix+, an eye kohl, some MSF, and a brush or two. Maybe just one. I'm also thinking about a few refill pans in different colors. I called mac today and they said they were gonna be selling empty palettes soon. So if I get just the pans I can get the palette later and just drop them in.

As for colors- I'm looking at some pinks, a purple, and then a darker brown and also a black. Well. The brown isn't that dark. Its like a medium.

Anyhow, gotta go!

It been awhile

I'm sorry its been so long. But not to worry! I went on macs webpage today and made a list of things I want. Hopefully, said list will make its way here soon.

Untill then- I finally got all the parts I need to change out the carb on the camaro, now I just need a couple days off. Those days off should be happening this week so we'll see how things go then.

the blackberry

So I went and got the blackberry yesterday. So far I'm satisfied with it, especially with the buttons. Finding apps is a bit roundabout, but I can get the job done.

Screw it....

I've decided that I'm not going to struggle with moving everything from my facebook group over to here. Just too much trouble. Whatever.

Blackberry 9700

I want a blackberry bold 9700. A blackberry will do all the stuff that my iPhone does, and it will have a button keypad. I really hate that about the iPhone.... This touchscreen sounded really cool and whatnot, but it's driving me nuts. Especially with all the testing and especially, blogging that I do with my phone.
I'm thinking about either a craigslist trade, or just sell on craigslist or eBay and then go in and buy one in person.

Duwop and face primer

So another box arrived in the mail a couple days ago from sephora. I had ordered two things. The first is the duwop pure venom in pure berry. I'll get back to that later. The second item I ordered was some face primer from toofaced.

Now, everywhere I've read has said that primer is the shit and should be applied before makeup to help it stay in place and to help make the skin way smoother for application. I decided to get some and try it out. I picked too faced for no particular reason. However- I have heard that they make some amazing eye primer, so I guess I had hoped their face primer would be just as good.
Anyhow, I used a little on the back of one of my hands and could totally tell the difference. The skin was softer, smoother, and less... Oily I guess. Not dry, just less oil. So tonight I applied some before my makeup. It made my face very smooth for application- my foundation seemed to spread on and blend out better than without the primer. I'm not sure yet if it makes makeup last longer like it claims, I'll have to wait till the end of the night to know.

Ok!!! Back to the pure venom. First, please understand that i just love duwop lip products, so I'm a little bit biased. Anyways. I got this and love it. It comes in a little tin that is just adorable. The tin is really good of you want some lip product without carrying around a tube of lipstick. It smells great, too- very cinnamon. The actual product is a deep red in the tin, and a bright red on your finger. Don't get scared though!!! The density of color varies based on how much you apply, so a little bit will give you nicely colored pink/red lips that look very natural. For a more dramatic look, feel free to apply more until you've got the color you want. After I apply mine, I let it sit for a minute or two and then top with some natural lip balm or chapstick.

Those are the goodie I ordered- in addition I got two perfume samples and a bodywash/lotion sample packet. I'll review those later.

Ok, this is just a quick edit to let you all know how the primer worked. Quite simply, it's amazing. One day and I am completely sold on wearing primer with my makeup. My skin stayed smooth for my entire 12 hour shift, and my makeup stayed in place. It did make my skin feel a little "heavy" at first, but it's not *that* noticable, and I got used to it pretty quickly. I would reccomend that everyone get a primer for their makeup collection.

Moving time!

Hi everyone! I'm moving my shopping blog off of facebook to here because it will be so much easier to update with my cellphone. I don't know exactly how to get all my old posts over here, but I will try to figure it out soon.
